Radial Arm Saw Cabinet

I finally got a good vintage Craftsman RAS. The guy that owned this one had taken very good care of it over the years. I bought it for $165. I decided to build a dedicated cabinet and extension table set for it on the east wall of my shop. It's framed via 2x4's and clad with 1/2" sanded ply. The extension tables and cabinet front are
covered with 3/4" Birch. I trimmed it out using the vintage Mahogany I had removed from a buddy's
house after he remodeled his kitchen.

While I was at it I designed a recess for the height crank lever and also a cover for the back half
of the RAS the allows for the DC hose attachment. I had ordered the new safety kit for the RAS and installed that as well. The left front corner was cut off to allow for easy access to the steps in my shop, so I took the corner off the two front edges of the new MDF tabletop supplied in the kit to match.

The overhang on the right allows my other router table to roll underneath. The base and cabinet were done yesterday, I'll post pics once I get the doors on everything later on.

The extension tables are designed to allow the outfeed from my TS to ride underneath. I can cut a 10' board and have enough room for it to go past the blade 1". Another reason to bevel the left front was plywood sheet outfeed room. I can clear the blade by 2" before it hits the table support.
