Pat Metheny moved
onto the next stage over after Larry Carlton. Very intertaining to see
him finally. I had several of his albums back in the jazz days (still have
one I think). He still has that huge hair. He was playing a very interesting
guitar pictured below. It actually had 5 stringed instruments on one body.
You can see three in this shot and the other two were on the left side
and top of the guitar body.
I was amazed at the
response these jazz guitarists drew from the crowd. It was nice to be a
part of such a
mature concert atmosphere.
Back when I all but quit going to concerts, I had to wade through
the kids and every
song was riddled with distractions. I guess now since the music I love
is considered
out of style, we
can return to the concert scene and be able to enjoy it again....sure is
nice.
